  • We start the process with a phone interview with the company owner. Share your house plans and we will discuss what your goals and budget are and what your vision is for your future DADU. 

  • When we first meet, we’ll discuss your house plans, align our goals, budget, and review Sundog Studios approach to design and building. Make sure we are aligned so there are no surprises as the home building process advances. Perform a site evaluation noting utility locations, site access and Municipal requirements such as setbacks and easements. 

  • The PSA will clearly outline our role, and what services we are providing. Once signed and a deposit is made, our team is mobilized to provide you with a detailed report of what the cost is to build and a schedule/timeline.  

  • Legal agreement to build your DADU and payment schedule. 

  • During the building process we will have regularly scheduled meetings to discuss and address any construction concerns.

High Performance Spaces

Sundog Studios homes are high performance spaces & we test every home to ensure a tight building. Each home is equipped with an Energy Recovery Ventilator (erv) guaranteeing the interior has filtered, healthy air. The erv monitors Co2, humidity, and temperature in real time and will adjust the air intake and exhaust as needed. It communicates with the range hood and bathroom fan to ensure the interior air is balanced. We build with modern air and water sealing technology, rainscreen, heat pumps, hot water heat pumps, solar ready metal roofs. We offer an optional electric vehicle charging station and electrical panel usage monitoring hardware.
