  • Email Sundog Studios to set up a phone interview. A scheduled phone interview gives us an opportunity to discuss material selection like siding, interior trim style and window and door styles so we can give you an accurate cost for the home

  • (Aligning goals) When we first meet, we’ll discuss your goals and budget, review Sundog Studios approach to design and building. Make sure we are aligned so there are no surprises as the home building process advances. Perform a site evaluation noting utility locations, site access, Municipal requirements such as setbacks and easements.

  • Legal agreement to build your DADU and schedule for payments 25% deposit on date of signing, 25% when building is finished prior to shipping, 40% when the building is set on its foundation and hooked up to utilities and 10% after completion of site work.

  • Site work, permitting and the build of your prefab run concurrently.

    Once the site-work and the building is completed off-site, we will schedule delivery and connection to the foundation, water, plumbing, sewer and electrical as well as finishing any punch lists and components that need to be built on the site. All that's left is a certificate of occupancy from the city and you are welcome to move in!

  • Shorter Build Time
    Shorten the total build time by up to 50%. The construction of your home and the site work happen at the same time. If you need a faster build time or are looking for a less invasive building experience, we can build your home, and install it in up to half the time it will take to build on site.

High Performance Spaces

Sundog Studios homes are high performance spaces & we test every home to ensure a tight building. Each home is equipped with an Energy Recovery Ventilator (erv) guaranteeing the interior has filtered, healthy air. The erv monitors Co2, humidity, and temperature in real time and will adjust the air intake and exhaust as needed. It communicates with the range hood and bathroom fan to ensure the interior air is balanced. We build with modern air and water sealing technology, rainscreen, heat pumps, hot water heat pumps, solar ready metal roofs. We offer an optional electric vehicle charging station and electrical panel usage monitoring hardware.
